It is with great sadness that I have to report that Ted Lloyd aged 89 years has passed away 28th August .
Ted was Captain of Rhuddlan Golf Club in 1986 and, Captain UFGU 1989.
Ted was former Presdent of The Welsh Golfing Union (2009-2011)
Our thoughts are with Dorien and his Family.
The funeral is being hels at St Thomas Church, Rhyl on Tuesday 23rd September at 12.30.

The Team trophy was held at Holywell Golf Club on Sunday 24th August.
The course had very few bunkers but made up for it with gorse bushes, which required accuracy off the tee. Despite the long dry summer we have all experienced at all our clubs within the Association the course was in excellent condition, and the day was enjoyed by all,
Grant Dickinson Captain of Holywell Golf Club welcomed the Association, and thanked his playing partners Don Fowler and Terry Roberts for the company.
John Evans The Vice captain thanked the caterers for a hearty meal.
The Vice Captain presented the Team Trophy to Peter Roberts, Mike Holland and Reg Weigh from Padeswood & Buckley with 105 points.
Runners Up were Graham Newell, Ian Bradshaw and Islwyn Luke from Prestatyn with 103 points.
3rd place with 87 points were Terry Roberts, Don Fowler and John Evans.

Presidents Day took place on Sunday, 17th August at the James Braid Links Course, Rhyl Golf Club, which is the oldest golf club in North Wales and a founding member of The Welsh Golfing Union. The event drew 31 participants from the Association.
With playing conditions very warm and with a slight breeze it was very much welcoming that at the halfway point The President kindly served refreshments.
Alan Williams, Captain of Rhyl Golf Club, extended a warm welcome to all, and remarked that, although the course was only recently reopened following significant renovations, it is performing admirably—a testament to the dedication of the Greens staff and club members.
Boyd Williams Captain of The Association thanked the caterers for an excellent meal, and presented The Pat Burke Memorial Trophy to The President which was played on 20th July at Rhuddlan.
The President thanked everyone for their support on his day.
Winner of The presidents Day was Steve F Jones with an outstanding score of 45 points.
Runner up was Phil Blythin with 41 points.
3rd Alan Birch 39 points.
4th Steve Boden 38 points.
5th Roy Fisher 37 points on count back.
